      How it works

      1. Add your drawings, or try the samples. Put them in order by dragging, or with the up and down buttons.
      2. Choose the trim size and paper. Without bleed, each drawing is fitted inside the margins and centred, with the wider inside margin on the spine side. With bleed you can let the art fill the whole page.
      3. Check the DPI of every drawing and the KDP Check list. The inside margin grows with the total page count, blank pages included.
      4. Export the PDF. Images go in at their original resolution, never scaled down.

      FAQ

      Are my drawings uploaded?

No. The images are read and placed by your own browser. Nothing is sent to a server, and closing the tab forgets them.

What does the DPI warning mean?

DPI is how many image pixels land on each inch of paper. KDP recommends at least 300 DPI. A 2400 × 3000 px drawing printed 7.5" wide is 320 DPI; printed 9" wide it drops to 266 DPI and may look soft.

Why add a blank page after each drawing?

Markers can bleed through paper. A blank back keeps every drawing on a right-hand page and nothing is printed behind it. Blank pages count toward the page total.

Why did it add one blank page at the end?

KDP counts pages in even numbers. If your book has an odd number of pages, the builder adds one blank page at the end so the file matches what will be printed.

My book is under 24 pages. Can I still export?

Yes, as a draft for proofing. KDP Check shows how many pages are missing. We do not pad the book with many blank pages, because KDP allows at most 10 blank pages in a row at the end.

      Which images may I use?

Only drawings you made yourself or have a licence to sell in a printed book. Do not use characters or art owned by someone else.
